On August 17, 2023, the 2nd Pentagro Workshop was held at the Mercure Hotel in Ribeirão Preto, SP. Under the theme “The Evolution of Industry 4.0 in Agro-Industrial Plants”, the event celebrated the company’s 17th anniversary while successfully achieving its main goal: strengthening relationships with clients and partners by encouraging open debate on Industry 4.0 enabling technologies.

The workshop featured five presentations, including three success cases, and a dedicated space for discussions on innovations shaping the agro-industrial landscape.

The opening presentation was delivered by Raízen, represented by Leandro Kaster, Michele Shibata, and Thaisa Dei Agnoli, on the topic “Excellence in Digital Routine Management”. Next, São Martinho Group took the stage, represented by José Henrique Martins, with the lecture “Autonomous Plant Project”, followed by Guilherme Rosa, who led the presentation on “Digitalization of the Integrated Corn and Sugarcane Plant”.

Pentagro’s CEO, André Lins, contributed his unique perspective with the presentation “The Industry 4.0 Journey with Pentagro”, offering a comprehensive and strategic view of the company’s trajectory. To conclude the lecture series, Professor André Carvalho (ICMC-USP) presented “The Future of AI Applications in Agribusiness”.

The workshop concluded with a high-level panel discussion perfectly aligned with the central theme, led by Márcio Ventureli (SENAI Institute). The debate featured prominent industry leaders, including Leandro Kaster (Raízen), Enéas Cordeiro (Tereos), Fernando Sampaio (São Martinho), and Bernardo Hendler (Atvos), alongside the active participation of all attendees — providing a truly memorable closing to the event.
